About us

We're not just fixing bikes; we're reimagining bike repair.

Fly-Wheel is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering other non-profits and community bike shops. We believe everyone deserves access to affordable and reliable bike repair, regardless of their circumstances.

Driven by this belief, we've developed an innovative solution: using 3D printing technology to make bike repair more accessible and significantly more affordable. Our team combines expertise in bike mechanics and cutting-edge 3D printing to create a truly unique approach.

We know that cost is a major barrier for many community bike shops, limiting their ability to provide affordable repairs and get more people cycling. That's why we're committed to driving down the cost of parts through our innovative 3D printing approach.

Meet Our Team

Abraham Zhong

Founder

Abraham is a senior at Mountain View High School. He founded the initiative to produce 3D printed parts for charitable bike shop repairs. As a volunteer repairing bikes at Community Cycles of California in San Jose, he found that he could replace rare or expensive parts at a fraction of the cost through 3D printing. Abraham is building this network to share 3D printing resources with more.
